Hi!
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look! I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about what brought me here...
In elementary and middle schools, I was always "that girl with the camera." I started learning more about the real game of photography in high school as newspaper editor. I then graduated to the "dinosaur" digital cameras, and so on. It has been quite a journey through technology and trends. Learning first with film allowed me to rely on photo editing less and start out with the right composition. I began doing graphic design independently in the early 2000's. What started out as a custom announcement business turned into offering photo services in conjunction with my design work in order to avoid copyright issues. Soon I was calling myself a photographer, which I did not set out to do. Yet, here I am! And for the record, I am a classic Nikon girl. I can't get away from my first love! It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years. Lot of hair colors (as you can see), technology upgrades, new family members, good and bad trends in photo processing; you get the gist. Time has carried me quickly to where I am today: always learning and growing.
It's no secret that there are a lot of great photographers out there. It's commonly thought that my job is to convince you why I am the best. That's just not how it works. There's no such thing as "the best." There are many options because there are many different styles and needs. I believe that we should work together to see if we are a good fit, because your experience is the most important part of this relationship. For this reason, I am more than happy to provide you with a referral to someone I feel would be a better fit in order to provide you with the best experience. That is how I aim to make sure you get the best.
I would love to work with you, capturing your memories and having a little fun along the way. Can't wait to meet you!
